Jeremy studied History and then Human Resources Management and he eventually ended up Tech! He also has several years of experience working in Employment and Training services. He will speak about tech-adjacent careers, non-tech roles in the tech sector, and non-traditional career paths.

Presentation:

There are so many roles/jobs in tech that are not necessarily purely tech-focused! He will start by discussing his career path and how he started to move into tech, including his experience working at a local tech start-up. He will also provide examples of tech-adjacent careers and non-tech careers in the tech sector like sales, business analysis, customer success, project management, and others. Also, Jeremy will lead students in an exercise on sorting algorithms using everyday objects as a demonstration of how tech concepts can be used in our day-to-day lives.
