Karla grew up in a household with an engineer and an artist. She loved math and being creative, and although she didn’t have any female role models in Engineering, she decided to follow in her dad’s footsteps and get a degree in Electrical Engineering. As one of 3 girls in her class at university, she never felt that she was different and saw all of her classmates as equals.  

Karla will speak about her experiences as a female Engineer in the Energy field and her passion for treating others with respect and approaching challenges with an open mind.
