After an education in classical art at Lakehead and University of Guelph, David moved to Oakville for their post-graduate New Media Design program, geared to providing conventional artists with a digital skillset. For him, this opened up a world of computer-aided design and an engagement with how objects in the world around us are invented, designed, and produced.

In Montreal, as one of DAVIDsTEA's first employees, David helped build the brand from 3 to 300 stores and pioneered their product department, working frequently in Asia. Returning to Thunder Bay just before the pandemic, he has taken a lifelong interest in music and design and started a hi-fi speaker company with a partner in New York, currently spending his time designing and manufacturing high-end audio equipment. www.wafaudio.com
