Andrew didn't start out wanting to work in tech — he started out wanting to solve problems. That curiosity eventually led him to artificial intelligence, and now he uses it to make real differences for people right here in Northern Ontario.

By day, Andrew works at Lakehead University as a Research Security and Data Management Specialist, where he helps researchers protect their work, navigate international partnerships, and keep sensitive data safe. He also teaches business courses at Lakehead, bringing real-world tech experience into the classroom. Outside of that, he founded Seaway Digital, a company that builds AI-powered apps and websites and helps local businesses actually put AI to work — not just talk about it.

His path wasn't a straight line. He started in science, switched gears when he realized he cared more about fixing people's problems than studying them, and built a career around using technology as the tool to do exactly that. He holds a Master's of Information from the University of Toronto (specializing in Human-Centered Data Science and Information Systems & Design) and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Lakehead University.
