Justin was born and raised in Thunder Bay and has been an esports player for the past 7 years. He was a representative of the New York Islanders hockey team for 3 years and is currently a representative of the San Jose Sharks. He is a multi-time World and North American Champion and video games have provided him incredible opportunities and experiences.

Presentation:

This presentation will highlight Justin's background and how he got into esports, including some of his experiences and accomplishments. He will talk about maximizing performance and what goes into that (nutrition/sleep/time management). He will discuss the importance of school and education and how it aided him in his esports career. For older students and classrooms, he will touch on the business side of the industry (social media/brand awareness/sponsorships). Finally, he will briefly dive into the opportunity esports gives for a post-secondary education (esports scholarships).
